The customers provided us a project to recreate their outdoor entry deck. We began with the removal of the old existing entry stairs and replaced them with a waterfall deck and stair system giving the home a new polished look.
Removing the old stairs gave the homeowners accessibility to place chairs on the first deck level to provide a comfortable view. We then added a second landing and altered the direction of the stairs for the final appealing new entry deck.
Treated deck with lattice and stairs leading to the pool
We removed 4 builder grade windows and replaced with 4 Trust double hung windows.
Existing windows had flanges that went behind the vinyl siding, so we had to remove the siding to remove the existing windows.
For this successful project, the homeowner wanted to remove their existing wood deck into building a larger one in its place. They also wanted to change the stairs to have a 5” riser height for easier access. Additionally, they needed a new railing with aluminum spindles to enhance safety and aesthetics.
By choosing treated lumber for the expanded deck, they can enjoy not only a beautiful and durable structure, but also benefit from its resistance of rotting and decay. This way, they can enjoy a more spacious and accessible outdoor area, providing a safe and inviting environment for the homeowner and their guests while ensuring the long-term durability and low maintenance deck.
Removed original deck, that was settling and pulling away from the house and had Improper footings, improper joist spacing, improper beams. Installed new treated deck with footings , 4x6 support posts , 16" oc joists, stairs and handrail. Deck is now safe to use.
